You may not know Ron, yet, so this page will have small notes about “My Friend Ron”.
I first met Ron in the mid 1960s in Worcester, MA. We didn’t go to the same high school but we met during my college days when I’d return to Worcester on many weekends. In the Summer of 1966 we both ended up at a Worcester friend’s house in San Francisco and we drove back across the country together in late August. Over the last 60 or so years we’ve stayed in touch as we developed a close friendship. Ron is one of the kindest and most compassionate people I’ve ever known. Just to name some of his many attributes, his search for knowledge, his appreciation for literature, and his concern for the well being of the less fortunate, have been parts of the source of my great admiration for him, as I watched him evolve over the years into the fine human being he is today.
